Sebastien Loeb is convinced that he would not play in the WTCC from the beginning the first violin.
Sebastien Loeb is next year to attend only four WRC-runs and wants to know, geared towards circuit races. On their agenda is an introduction to the World Touring Car Championship, could participate in the Citroen from 2014 or 2015. The Frenchman insisted, however, that it would take some time before he could ride in the WTCC for the lead.
"Right now we are waiting for the OK," Loeb said regarding the decision by Citroen to confess to the WTCC. "Should it come, I plan for at least two years [in the WTCC to drive]: learn to one and one to drive." The nine-time WRC Champion noted that although he would do his best, but it would be a miracle, he should be able to compete from the start at the highest level.
"To fight with the pilots on these routes are on the road for ten years, is impossible," he was under no illusions. Despite the age of 38 years spoke of Loeb that he would have a lot to learn, he would switch to touring car racing. "The rally went on, I no longer can learn so much and improve myself so much," he explained. "When I go in the WTCC, I will arrive as a young driver."
