Renault Clio offers in the new generation of five-door only. Nevertheless, the entry level model is cheaper than the old three-door.
With prices starting at 12,800 euros in November starts the fourth generation of the Renault Clio. The entry-level version of the five-door compact car is powered by the well known from the previous 1.2-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with 55 kW/75 hp. In contrast to the comparable version of its predecessor, the price has dropped so that by 400 euros.
The engine range further includes the Frenchman a new 0.9-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine with 66 kW/90 hp, the average consumed 4.5 liters. The optional start-stop system, the consumption to 4.3 liters are pressed. Early 2013, also an equally new 1.2-liter turbocharged direct injection engine supplemented with 88 kW/120 hp, the petrol engines. The four-cylinder is coupled to the first offered for the Clio dual clutch transmission. On the diesel side 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine has been revised. The 90 hp engine is now live on 3.4 liters of fuel.

On the list, the Clio is found as an option, the new online multimedia system R-Link. The centerpiece is a dash integrated touch-screen that is connected to a server Renault. There can be downloaded apps with different functions, such as e-mail programs and online station finder. Also offered is a sound app that will simulate different engine sounds inside.
Major competitors of Clio Ford Fiesta (from 11,800 euros), Peugeot 208 (from € 11,600) and Opel Corsa count (from 11,825 euros). Among competitors two more doors but each cost around 750 euros extra.
