Also known as the "Race to the Clouds" Race is one of the most challenging motorsports events in North America. It takes place on 8 July 90th time held since the year 1916.
Modifications to chassis, body and interior
The IS F CCS-R is the 5-liter V8 production engine in the IS F with a power of 423 HP driven and a maximum torque of 505 Nm. The pilot is 26-year old Japanese racer Ken Gushi. The modifications to the Race Car relate primarily chassis, body and interior. Appropriate for passive safety guarantees a reinforced monocoque with a roll cage. The chassis in race trim with reinforced bearings and fasteners on the front axle has an adjustable camber. The weight of the racing model fell compared to the standard vehicle by around 315 kg. This was made possible due to the use of carbon fiber with hood, door handles, fenders and spoilers. 20 kilometers and 156 curves
At Pikes Peak, it is true, for a total length of almost 20 kilometers, with 156 curves in a average slope of seven percent to overcome some 1,440 meters in altitude. For the first time in its history, the legendary mountain race takes place this year on a completely asphalted route instead.
