Michael Schumacher will be appointed to the German Sports Press Ball 2012 for "Legend of Sport". "For his outstanding achievements and can unique successes there be only one attribute, they are legendary," said the organizer. Schumacher joins it to other sports greats such as Franz Beckenbauer, Katarina Witt, Oliver Kahn, Boris Becker or Heiner Brand, which may also carry this honorary title. Schumacher was in his long career already won several awards. He is Unseco champion for the sport, has twice received the Laureus World Sports Award and is an Officer of the Legion of Honour.
