With "Peugeot Connect apps" introduces the 208, a new generation of networked support services based on mobile Internet technology for the lion trademark. The information ranges from finding a parking space on tourist attractions and even weather reports. The user must connect to a so-called Peugeot Connect access stick to the USB port. Then he can call the apps directly on the touch screen and operate while driving. At launch, nine applications available, more applications will follow in due course.

To use the service, the user must enter into a contract. He then receives the UMTS data stick and the use rights for one year. Depending on the network, the system allows permanent access to a 3G Internet connection. When traveling abroad, no roaming charges may apply. The price for the full Peugeot Connect apps package is expected for the first year 350 euros. A subsequent extension by twelve months is expected to cost around 150 euros.
